What is the advantage of Project ANRAV / First CCUS Project in Eastern Europe? Its hand-on experience and know-how!
During the series of events, part of the Green Transition Forum Konstantin Bojinov participated in strategic meetings with European Commission officials, Think Tank leaders and other institutional experts.
In an exclusive roundtable discussion between Kurt Vandenberghe, Director – General – Directorate – General Climate Action (DG CLIMA) and representatives of heavy industry enterprises, Heidelberg Materials’ ANRAV Project was revealed in detail, reviewed and identified as a leading initiative in SEE. It appears to be heading the country’s transition to a low-carbon economy and paving the way for the development and funding of future CCUS projects.
The practical experience, the challenges and the implementation know-how were shared by the Project Manager, Konstantin Bojinov and regarded as an invaluable asset on the topic of Carbon Capture in the regional context.
Additional discussions with thought leaders from the Strategic Perspective Think Tank and the author of the Forging Economic Security and Cohesion in the EU Report offered further constructive opportunities for knowledge and best-practices sharing.
The ANRAV project is a flagship initiative on the Bulgarian decarbonization roadmap. Still the only financed project by CINEA – European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency in Bulgaria, it defines the ambitious venture of Heidelberg Materials Bulgaria, that aims to persevere by reaching net-zero production through great will, backed up by groundbreaking, forward-thinking actions.
