“Devnya Cement” AD received two awards at the 13th “Greenest Companies of Bulgaria” ceremony, organized by B2B Media group. Thus, the company becomes the winner of a total of 8 prestigious awards for its work for a more sustainable industry.
This year, the awards for the company were presented in the categories “Green Project” and “Industry and Manufacturing Sector” for the ANRAV project, which was awarded for its outstanding contribution to sustainable industry and the goal of creating the first carbon-neutral enterprise in the country, which according to preliminary plans should be operational in 2028. ANRAV is also the first investment project in Eastern Europe to receive financing from the Innovation Fund of the European Union.
“Business and the thought of the environment should be partners for the better industrial future of Bulgaria. We cannot help but be responsible for the environment in which we and our children live,” commented the executive director of Devnya Cement AD, Mihail Polendakov.
“For us, it is important and indicative that the ANRAV project is awarded with such prestigious green awards even before its actual practical implementation. This motivates us to fulfill our ultimate goal,” adds Konstantin Bozhinov, head of the ANRAV project.
Ivayla Vasileva, the company’s sustainable development manager, received the awards on behalf of “Devnya Cement” AD.
